Jason Rowe – Senior Pastor
As a child, Jason learned the gospel message by attending church with his family. Although he mentally understood that Christ died for his sins, he did not exercise repentance and faith until much later. At the age of 23, Jason began serving in different areas within his local church. It was during this time that Jason clearly sensed God’s call to full-time ministry. For the next 13 years Jason served as a youth pastor and assistant pastor at his home church, Pooler First Baptist.
Jason was called as the senior pastor of Bloomingdale First Baptist Church in June 2015. Jason is married to Marcy. They have one son, Jude and a chocolate lab, Lucy. Jason loves to run, read, follow Duke basketball, and spend time with his family (not in that order, of course).
Angelia Jernigan – Music Director
Angelia grew up at FBC. She has directed the music off and on for the last twenty years. Aside from leading the music ministry, Angelia is the director of the Women’s Missionary Union. As part of that job, she leads a group of women called Women In Motion. The ladies in this group are of various ages. They participate and lead in missions at our church, in our community and across the globe.
Angelia is married to Mitch, who teaches Sunday School and sings in the choir at FBC. They have one dog named Thor. He is a very active brindle Boxer. Thor entertains them and keeps them laughing! Outside of her church leadership responsibilities, Angelia loves going snow skiing, taking cruises, and traveling to places she has never been. She does all of these activities with her husband, Mitch.
Jeremy Holland- Youth Pastor
Jeremy grew up at FBC. He has been leading the youth ministry since 2013. He has a desire to see the youth in our church and in our community come to know Jesus, and to help them grow in that relationship.
Jeremy is married to Sarah. Jeremy and Sarah have two sons, Conner and Cameron, and serve as foster parents as well. They also have two dogs, Duke and Sanford. Jeremy enjoys watching football and spending time outside with His family.
Jeremy’s favorite verse is Matthew 25:40 because it is a reminder that our whole purpose in life is to point others to God in word and action. This verse helps us see that in order to do that we must humbly serve others.
Brandy Saxon- Preschool Director
Brandy grew up at FBC. She teaches our Preschool Sunday school class and coordinates our Preschool Wednesday night program. She has been leading in this area since 2015. Brandy, along with other volunteers, plans different activities and lessons for our preschool kids.
Brandy works as a paraprofessional in the Effingham County school district. Brandy loves spending time with her nieces and nephews. She also enjoys crafts, shopping, reading, and watching movies.
Two of her favorite verses are Hebrews 6:19 and Philippians 4:13 because they remind her that Jesus is her strength and will never leave her.
